Leadership Honor Code

Leadership Honor Code

As an essential part of the International Christian Center family, you have a responsibility to honor this code by developing a mature Christian lifestyle. While serving the Body of Christ as a servant-leader at International Christian Center, in both attire and behavior, you should strive to honor God in all situations. As Christians, the way we present ourselves to others is the way others perceive Christ. Our behavior should never be an embarrassment to Christ but should be an example of a mature believer and servant-leader.

A Church leader is a manager of God’s household, so he must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered; he must not be a heavy drinker, violent, or dishonest with money. - Titus 1:7

International Christian Center leaders should strive to maintain a disciplined life of consistent Bible reading, prayer, fasting, and tithing. In living a life of integrity, you must also aim to avoid such things as:

  • Profanity
  • Smoking or chewing tobacco
  • Gambling
  • Indulging in much wine or alcoholic beverages
  • Dishonest gain *
  • Illicit drugs
  • Non Christlike behavior on social media
  • Pornography
  • Sexual Immorality and adultery
  • Living with an intimate partner outside of marriage
  • All behaviors which might cause Christ to grieve or others to stumble

By providing an example in speech and action, we encourage others to grow in Christ and become servant- leaders themselves. We should regard it as an essential part of our development, not as an imposition or restriction.

Having read the ICC Leadership Honor Code, I agree to commit today to live by the standards expected of a leader at ICC.
